Figural beast head spout. Figural acorn finial to hinged cover. Ribbed body. Scroll design to foot. Bottom holds impressed I.W.FORBES maker`s hallmarks with Sovereign head, Beaver, anchor and star marks. Early 19th century. We tested this piece with a silver x-ray testing gun and it came back as sterling. Measures 11 3/8" height x 12" length (28.8cm x 30.5cm). Total weight of 33.7ozt.
