A French silver desk seal by Louis Baudet, Paris, small article mark for .950 standard, circa 1900, the rounded handle embossed with floral swags, a wreathed reserve and foliage, engraved `Jeanne a Joseph 19 Mars 1901`, the circular silver matrix with a `J` cypher, 8.3cm (3 1/4in) long; and a German silver desk seal by Wilhelm Binder, Schwabisch Gmund, post 1886 .835 standard, circa 1900, the tapered hexagonal handled with ribs, the oval silver matrix with an armorial, 7cm (2 3/4in) long The second with what appears to be the untraced arms of an untitled German nobleman, probably newly elevated to that status.
