A Swiss marquetry decorated musical box, late 19th century, the gilt painted iron-bed framed mechanism playing a choice of six airs via a 9.25 inch pinned cylinder on a tuned steel comb, concealed nest of three bells and a drum, set beneath an internal hinged glass cover flanked by crank winder, stop/start and repeat/change selection levers, the case with tune list pinned to interior of lid, the exterior decorated with musical trophy marquetry panel within line borders to top above conforming foliate panel to front, (unrestored, some faults), 49cm (19.25ins) wide.
