A Minton's China part dessert service (of Lord Milton type) painted with British views, some titled, comprising; two high comports, two low comports and twenty-three plates, all within pierced elaborate borders, verso impressed factory marks, iron-red script titles and printed retailer's mark for Phillips of New Bond Street, mostly last quarter 19th century (some old damage, staining). See Atterbury & Batkin, The Dictionary of Minton (1990), p. 129 for the history of the original Lord Milton service from which this is copied and p.'s 130, 131 & 225 for illustrations.
