a pair of 17-bore percussion Officer’s pistols by C. Allport, circa 1830, 7 inch octagonal steel sighted barrel, foliate engraved breech and tang, trigger guard and pineapple finial, dolphin hammer, side lock engraved C. ALLPORT, push-on safety, fully walnut stocked with rounded chequered butt, silver coloured metal vacant escutcheon, horn terminal and swivel ramrod, 13.5 inches overall. Contained in a period mahogany case with foliate engraved name plate, the hinged lid enclosing lined green baize interior with some accessories including copper and brass 3-stage powder flask and turn screw.
