A Pair of Late 19th/Early 20th Century Kards, with silver hilts inlaid with turquoise, possibly Uzbekistan, of slightly unequal length, each with watered blade cut with a narrow fuller below the back-edge and the latter rising slightly at the point, the base of the hilt encased in silver decorated with niello scrollwork, the remaining surface entirely encased in silver and inlaid with a close-set pattern of irregular turquoise chips, inlaid with a band of small red stones about the base and with single red stones highlighting the pommel, each dagger in its original fabric-covered wooden scabbard with brass mounts chased with vacant cartouches, and the two scabbards suspended from a band of patterned woven fabric, 24cm long.
