Der Blick des Weltenrichters ist auf den Betrachter gerichtet. Die sichtbaren Teile des blauen Himations und des roten Chitons sind mit Weißhöhungen verziert. 30 x 24,5 cmThe Saviour with the Fearsome eye. Russia, 18th century. Egg tempera on gesso on woodpanel with kovcheg. Facing the viewer directly. Painted traditionally in deep shades of brown, the features well defined, solemnly rendered with earthly colours. His garments dark blue and red with white highlights. Losses. 30 x 24.5 cm.
