RAF “Empire Air Day” May 1939. An original programme, for the International Flying event at Biggin Hill, show-casing the prowess of the Royal Air Force, depicting a flight of Hawker Hurricanes and a Fairey Battle, both types available for War in defence of Great Britain and its Empire, 64 pp. comprehensively detailing the panoply of the event and weapons to be deployed, full-colour illustrated covers by Whitlock and Richard Trevithick, soft-covers showing minor wear and rubbing, otherwise good condition, together with RAF International Air Display, Hendon 1933 and 1937, two original programmes for the events, (lacking covers), also with a programme for RAF Empire Air Day May 1939, and others for Royal Aeronautical Society Garden Party 1947, RAFA “Battle of Britain Week” Weston-Super-Mare 1949, and Aldershot Silver Jubilee Tattoo event 1935, and Air Ministry flying training manual dated 1943 (8)
