Being a Story of Christmas, 1st ed., early issue, 1843, half title, title printed in red and blue, four hand-coloured steel-engraved plates by John Leech, wood-engraved illustrations, without advert. leaf at end, t.e.g., contemporary red full crushed morocco, spine with raised bands, a few light stains, 12mo, together with the four other Christmas Books: The Chimes: A Goblin Story of Some Bells That Rang an Old Year Out and a New Year In, 1st ed., 2nd state, 1845; The Cricket on the Hearth. A Fairy Tale of Home, 1st ed., 1846; The Battle of Life. A Love Story, 1st ed., 4th state, 1846; The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain, 1st ed., 1848, illustrations, some titles and endpapers loose, some light toning, t.e.g., uniformly bound as above, upper joints splitting, edges lightly rubbed, a few stains, 12mo.
