A group of four autograph letters signed, 13th December 1907, to 28th July 1910, the first two to St. John Hankin and the last two to Mrs. Hankin, the first thanking them for their offer, 'But we are off next week to the South of France for a month's quiet, in a little untouched place, where I hope to be able to work. You shall have the new play to read when I come back, on condition that you [?] to my comments on your new play. I will not suffer you to be immune', initialled, two pages, 8vo, the second thanking him 'for standing up for "the silver box" in the Academy in so delightful a mood', continuing by defending the fact that he has seen a lot of contemporary British drama and regretting that he has not seen a play of his, giving his reasons for doing so and hoping to be at the first night of 'The Prodigal', signed John Galsworthy, three pages, 8vo, the last two also signed in full, one page, 4to (4)
