* Charles & Diana. A magnum of Moet & Chandon Champagne Cuvee Dom Perignon Vintage 1961, Disgorged 1981, to Honour the Marriage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, 29 July 1981, full and unopened bottle, printed label and tin foil intact, contained with related printed card and leaflet in orig. gilt-lettered green presentation box, 38 x 13 x 14 cm. The total Reserve of this Cuvee from the year of Princess Diana's birth was bottled and presented on the occasion of the Royal Wedding in 1981. It is understood that 99 bottles were sent to, and consumed at, the reception. In addition, twelve magnums were produced, six for the Royal Household and six for drinks trade charities. This bottle was originally presented to Ronald Mayes, then Chairman of the Society of Licensed Victuallers and sold some years later to the current owner. (1)
