Prieres et Oraisons Dévotés, fine autograph transcript on vellum, in Latin and French, 169pp., with blank at front, and two blank leaves at rear, approx. 100 x 62mm, carefully hand?illuminated title, single full?page illuminated miniature of The Annunciation, written in attractive roman hand and elegant sloping italic, in brown ink with running title and part?titles in red, numerous initials in red and blue ink, gold frame to each leaf throughout, five large floral initials in gold and colours, and three coloured floral headpieces, old marbled endpapers, with circular eng. bookplate of to front endpaper, a.e.g., mid-9th?c. dark full morocco, joints cracked, with silver clasps intact, 16mo Owner's inscription in ink to verso of front blank 'Mary Viscountes Strangford. her booke. 1673'.
