R.); British War and Victory Medals (9908 Pte., W. York. R.) good very fine (3) £120-150 George Allen served in France and Flanders with the B.E.F. from 8 September 1914 and was wounded by a gunshot to the left foot in February 1915. He was discharged from the army on 10 September 1915. Sold with copy m.i.c. which shows entitlement to Silver War Badge.
