Tolkien J.R.R, The Lord of the Rings trilogy first edition, Fellowship of the Ring 1st edition 4th impression 1955 in 12th impression dust cover, The Two Towers 1st edition 1st impression 1954 in 9th impression dust cover, The Return of King 1st edition 1st impression 1955 original dust cover, all fully bound in red cloth with gilt to spine 8vo.All dust covers are contained in professional dust cover protectors The Return of the King is in very good condition, with the only real toning appearing to be the book block. There is denting to the headband and tail band and in the same area on the dust cover. The map is in excellent condition The Two Towers has a sellotaped map and sellotaped final page. There is toning to the endpapers and book block, corner curling and toning to bottom right pages 55-73, minor denting to headband and tail band and similar to same area on dust cover The Fellowship of the Ring has a minor 2mm stain spot to P31-35 right edge 2 inch up, red boards leaked colour to edges of endpapers in places toning to book block, map in excellent condition though possible 1cm tear to map mounting. Dust cover with tears edges and head band/tail band areas. Boards with slight separation from spine

PAYMENT Payment is welcome by cash, debit and credit card in person. (there is a 3.5% surcharge on
invoices for credit cards for payments made outside the EU). Payment by cheque is not accepted. Payment for any amount by overseas buyers and new customers and for any buyer with amounts exceeding £500 must be made by BACS. PAYMENT and CLEARING is due by 5pm on the MONDAY FOLLOWING THE AUCTION, unless by prior arrangement. We reserve the right to charge an additional storage and handling fee for uncleared lots.
