George Fiddes Watt (Scottish 1873-1960): Portrait of Reverend Archibald Henderson, oil on canvas signed, presentation plaque dated May 1912, 73cm x 60cmNotes: Archibald Henderson (Scottish 1837-1929) was Minister of the Free West Parish Church in Crieff, Perthshire. He married Elizabeth Smith Candlish (1840-1919) in 1863, daughter of Dr Robert Smith Candlish (1806-1873), a leading figure in the Free Church of Scotland (appointed Moderator in 1861) and Minister of St George's Church, Charlotte Square Edinburgh. The sitter was the vendor's great-grandfather.Condition Report:Excellent untouched original condition behind glass in heavy quality gilt frame - Ready to hang
