ZDANEVICH, Kirill Mikhailovich (1892-1962) – KRUCHENYKH, Aleksei Eliseevich (1886-1968). Ozhirenie roz. [Obesity of Roses, on the Poems of Terent’ev and others.] [Tbilisi: 1918.] 8° (205 x 150 mm). (Minor waterstain to margins.) Original buff wrappers with printed title and collage of brown and buff marbled paper and red paper by Zdanevich (neatly rebacked and repaired, slightly dampstained). Provenance: Igor Terent’ev (presentation inscription, dated Tbilisi 15 April 1918 to:) – Tatiana Kalashnikova – Nina Vasil'eva (1889-1979, poet).
RARE FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY TERENTEV to Kalashnikova. One of only about 250 copies, in the original covers with a collage by Zdanevich. AE and ABPC record only one copy at auction (Sotheby’s, 23-24 November 1981, lot 355). MoMA, The Russian Avant-Garde Book, 214.
