MILITARIA – SAINT-REMY, Pierre Surirey de (1645-1716). Memorii ili Zapiski artilleriiskiia. V kotorykh opisany mortiry, petardy, doppelgakeny, mushkety, fuzei, i vse shto prinadlezhit ko vsem sim oruzhiiam. T. 2 [iz 2]. [Memoirs of Artillery. In which are described mortars, petards... and all that pertains to these weapons. Vol. 2 (of 2).] St. Petersburg: Imperial Academy of Sciences, 1733. One volume (of 2), 4° (264 x 193mm). 69 engraved plates (of 70, lacking pl. 190), many folding, engraved head- and tail-pieces, and 3 folding tables. (Some marginal soiling, tears in some plates.) Contemporary calf, sides and spine tooled in blind (spine panel worn, spine ends chipped, extremities rubbed, scuffed). Provenance: I.J. von Sperreuter (title signature dated Wodalaga, 1740) – Life Guards Cavalry Regiment (partially legible inscription on front blank dated 1744) – Library of the Imperial Novorosiisk University (18th-century stamp) – Russian bookseller (20th-century stamp on rear pastedown).
