St Petersburg: Fiat, et al., 1913-1917. 90 numbers in 72 issues, all published; 4º (360 x 265mm). Illustrated throughout, and with colour-printed plates tipped-in. (Some plates detached, lacking the first plate in number 8.) In original illustrated printed wrappers, except numbers 25-48 [1915 volume] bound together, without the wrappers, in contemporary printed cloth cover (some numbers with the spine neatly strengthened with tape, some covers detached but present, some wear at the extremities, some soiling). Provenance: 'Printed in Soviet Union' (small import stamp).

THE MOST IMPORTANT SOURCE ON THE LOST MASTERPIECES OF RUSSIAN ARCHITECTURE AND APPLIED ARTS, and on the lost world of pre-revolutionary high society. Stolitsa i usad'ba was aimed squarely at the elite of Russian society, employing the highest production values and the finest artists of the day to document the best of 'the good life'.
