DRESSER, Henry Eeles (1838-1915). A Monograph of the Coraciidae, or Family of the Rollers. Farnborough [Kent]: Taylor & Francis, 1893. 4to (359 x 260mm). Half title, 27 fine hand-coloured lithographed plates by J. G. Keulemans (gathering K with text pages 65-72 supplied in facsimile, repair to lower margin of title without loss, last 2 index leaves soiled and browned with repairs, occasional light spotting to text and to one plate). Finely bound in modern red half morocco gilt (scratch to head of spine). FIRST EDITION. Fine Bird Books p.92; Nissen IVB 270; Wood p.324; Zimmer I, 178: “A thoroughly detailed study of the group, with excellent hand-coloured plates.”
