D.[UBUISSON], E.  Sketches of Character by E. D. The Mufflechops Family, No. 1-12. [London]: T. Pewtrees … & Ackermann, [1830]. A complete set of 12 hand-coloured lithographs by W. & J. O. Clerk, including Preparing for Continent, Mrs Mufflechops being dressed at Paris, etc.  (A few marginal tears, plates no. 2 and 12 lacking right lower corner, some spotting and staining not affecting images). Loosen. The twelve highly comical plates, humorously depicting the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Mufflechop, a rotund couple, from proposal to wedding to children, by Madam E. Dubuisson, a portrait painter who exhibited at the Royal Academy in London between 1805 and 1840. FIRST EDITION. SCARCE. (12)
