US CIVIL WAR PEREIOD UNION OFFICER FORAGE CAP W/ CORPS BADE, a blue doeskin 6” tall in rear & 5” tall in front & the top diameter is 5 ¼”, a black patent leather visor which extends 1 ¾” & a matching chin-strap w/ Massachusetts side-buttons, on front is a blue doeskin oval 2 ¼” wide w/ gold bullion wreath & “US” in silver bullion, sewn on its top is a 2” x 2” 5th Corps badge in red cloth w/ 9th Regiment in brass in the very center (the 5th Corps was hard fought ay Gettysburg), inside is a dark polished cotton lining along w/ a 2” wide dark leather sweatband, this has a lot of moth damage but still has a great look in my eyes,
