Description
Third Reich Waffen-SS Police Double Decal Combat Helmet, good example of a M-35 steel combat helmet which retains much of its original apple green paint finish to the shell. Helmet is complete with original Police and party shield decals. Interior retains the original leather liner on aluminium band and leather chinstrap dated 1938. The shell is stamped ‘ET64’ and ‘3655’. Some wear to the liner and some abrasions to the paint on the exterior of the shell but generally a good example of a double decal Police combat helmet.The German combat police were under the control of the Waffen-SS. It was the Police units who were heavily involved in the Anti-Partisan warfare on the Eastern Front.
