WW2 German Artillery Regiment Nr 23 Oberstleutnant Officers Tunic and Peaked Cap, fine example of an officers four pocket tunic with bullion embroidered breast eagle. Artillery officers collar patches to the dark bottle green collar. Pair of officers shoulder boards with red underlay, single rank pip and gilt numerals ‘23’. Attached to one shoulder if a set of officers dress aiguilettes. Medal ribbon loops to the breast and machined hole for a screw back award. Medal ribbon bar loops above the breast pocket. Five button front, turn backed cuffs and scalloped pockets. War Service Cross (KVK) 2nd class medal ribbon to the button hole. Fine quality officers lining to the interior of the tunic. Accompanied by the officers original peaked cap constructed from fine field grey wool with red piping to the crown and bordering the bottle green central band. Zinc cap eagle and bullion officers cap cockade. Officers cap cords supported by two pebbled side buttons. Fibre peak with cross hatch design to the underside. Tan leather sweatband to the interior with satin cloth lining and celluloid diamond with Albert Kuhl Munster-Essen, Erel Sonderklasse to the underneath. Some stitching repairs to the sweatband at the reverse and general service wear which is in keeping with the tunic. A good complete officers set. (2 items)
