Third Reich TENO (Technische Nothilfe) Enlisted Mans Hewer Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, good example of the large other ranks dagger for an enlisted rank in the German technical organisation. Two piece white grips, eagle head pomme with cogwheel to the centre, cross guard with TENO eagle emblem, Housed in the original scabbard with plated mounts. Attached to the scabbard is the original special pattern leather hanger for TENO enlisted ranks daggers. Large swollen blade with thin fuller to the back edge. Reverse of the blade has Eickhorn trade mark and TENO eagle with ‘GES GESCH’. The blade is etched with numbers ‘9558’, these numbers are also on the top of the scabbard throat. Some areas of plating lifting and remains of black paint to the cross guard. Blade measures 9 ¾ inches, overall 16 inches.
