HOW TO BID

To bid at this auction you must register via e-mail by the day prior to the sale or in person and provide photo and address identification by way of a driving licence photo card or a passport/identity card and a utility bill/bank statement. We operate a paddle bidding system. Lots are offered for sale in numerical order and we usually offer approximately 80-120 lots per hour. We recommend that you arrive in plenty of time before the lots you are wishing to bid on are up for sale.

ABSENTEE BIDS

If you cannot attend an auction in person, Bristol Auction Rooms can bid on your behalf, acting upon your instructions to secure an item for you at the lowest possible price as allowed by other bids and reserves.

Commission bids must be received by 4pm on Friday 7th September in order to ensure placement.

You can leave bids in person, through our website, by email or telephone - detailing your intended bids clearly, giving your price limit for each lot (excluding Buyer’s Premium and VAT). We cannot accept liability for failure to execute such bids or for errors or omissions. If we receive more than one bid of the same value the first one received will take precedence. Bids may be rounded down to the nearest amount consistent with the auctioneers bidding increments.

TELEPHONE BIDS

Please note there is no mobile telephone coverage at the property therefore we will be unable to execute live telephone bids during the auction.

ONLINE BIDDING

Due to lack of internet connectivity there will be no facility to bid live.

CONDITION REPORTS

Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the condition of each lot. Limited condition reports will be made available on our website wherever possible and are available on request via our email or website.

Requests for condition reports must be submitted by 12pm on the day prior to the auction.

Please note that we are unable to give verbal condition reports for any lot.

BUYER’S PREMIUM

All items in our auction are subject to buyer’s premium of 15% plus VAT (18% in total) which will be added to the hammer price.

PAYMENT & COLLECTION

All items must be paid for and collected by 2pm on Monday 10th September.

Payment methods are Cash or Cheque on the day of sale and the following day (10am-4pm)

Collection for bank transfer payments will need to be on the Monday following the sale.

Any lots not collected by 2pm on Monday 10^th September will be removed at the purchasers cost and placed in store in Bristol.

DELIVERY OF PURCHASES

A representative of Sheraton Removals (07836 683810) will be in attendance during viewing and sale days to assist with the delivery of purchases to local addresses and beyond.

LOCATION

Maidford is a secluded property situated close to The Vine Tree Inn, Norton - which is well sign posted.

The postcode is: SN16 0JP. It is a 15 minute drive from the M4 Junction 17 from where you should proceed north on the A429 towards Cirencester for about two miles- turning left just before Hullavington Airfield – following signs to Luckington and The Vine Tree Inn.

PARKING

Ample car parking will be in an adjoining field situated 150 yards from the house. Appropriate footwear is recommended. A one-way traffic system will be in operation.

CATALOGUE

Entry to Maidford will be by catalogue only (£5) purchasable on entry to the car park. One catalogue will admit all the passengers in the car.

CATERING

Homemade refreshments will be available on site throughout the viewing and sale days.
