Victorian Yorkshire Dragoons 1871 pattern Trooper’s helmet.
A good example with silvered skull decorated with rose leaves. To the front a helmet plate of regimental pattern, surmounted with a Victorian Crown and with a brass regimental title strap “Yorkshire Dragoons YC” To the crown a silvered spike supports a white horsehair plume with rose boss and two further rose head bosses to each side of the helmet. The interior with remains of the original leather lining. The shell with some dents and distorted, chin chain absent.
