3rd VB QueenÕs Own Royal West Kent Regiment Victorian OfficerÕs helmet plate circa 1883-1901.
A good scarce silvered example. Crowned star mounted with laurel wreath and Garter, the black velvet centre with White Horse of Kent and motto scrolls. Mounted on the base of the wreath, a silver tri-part scroll ÒRoyal West Kent RegimentÓ with supplementary scroll below Ò3rd Volunteer BattalionÓ. Three loops to reverse. Wires securing centre absent, 7 oÕclock tip AF, verdigris to reverse.
HQ Woolwich. 1st April 1908 amalgamated with 2nd VB to become 20th Bn. The London Regiment.
