4th (Kings Own) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officers ""Albert"" shako plate circa 1844-55. A very fine fire-gilt example. Crowned star mounted with rope-edged strap inscribed ""The Kings Own Regiment""; mounted on the black velvet centre, a gilt Lion over lined ""IV"". Two horizontal loops to reverse, one wire remaining behind the crown. Top pearl on cross atop the crown absent, minor crease to star tips otherwise VGC Provenance. Bosleys March 2007, Lot 69
