Gregor Danelian (Georgian, 1950-2021) Veil of serenity oil on canvas 70 x 54cm (27 9/16 x 21 1/4in). Footnotes: Provenance Private collection, Georgia Gregor Danelian was born on May 28, 1950 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He graduated from the Art Institute in Yerevan with distinction. Danelian's career as an artist was marked by active participation in numerous exhibitions, starting from 1972, he held more than forty personal exhibitions. Through 1965-1975 he intensively studied the technique of painting and graphics of different ages, as well as the theory and history of art. In the 1970's he worked in the style of expressionism, monumental art, collage and Pop Art. His creative career lasted several decades, during which his works were presented in different countries and entered private collections around the world. In 1970-1980 Danelian worked on an expressive embodiment of the theory of lightness and cubism. Painting with the synthesis of light and elements of mysticism. The period from 1980 until 2000 is characterized by the expression of the Light in painting, with the symbolism of the Spirit. He worked on the Vibrations of the Divine World and its contact with the viewer. 2000 - 2021 the artist worked on the irrational program, The Supramental reflection of the vibrations of the Spirit and the Light in harmony with the Absolute. His works are in museums and private collections of many countries, including Armenia, England, Austria, Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Georgia, Denmark, Israel, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Norway, Russia, USA, France, Switzerland, and Ukraine. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
