Serial number 1612, the Birmingham proofed barrels separated by a central rib engraved 'F.J. ABBEY & CO CHICAGO.'; flat lock plates with fine foliate scroll engraving and marked 'F.J. ABBEY & Co.'; figured walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and German silver shield on the underside. Barrel lg. 30, overall lg. 46 1/2 in. Condition: Barrels toned to mottled gray, stock has an old crack between the barrel tang and left lock plate; bright bores, action functions properly.
