EISHOSAI CHOKI (ACTIVE CIRCA 1772-EARLY 1800s) AND UTAGAWA KUNIYOSHI (1797-1861) Edo period (1615-1868), first half of 19th century Three prints: two oban tate-e by Kuniyoshi, the first, Saito Kuranoshin Toshikazu from the series Taiheiki Eiyuden (Heroic Stories of the Taiheiki), published by Yamamotoya Heikichi, two censor's seals Murata and Mera, circa 1848, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga, 36.7cm x 25cm (14 7/16in x 9 7/8in), the second from the series Kenyu fujo kagami (Mirror of Women of Wisdom and Courage), depicting Kaji of Gion holding a fan to her mouth, published by Takahashiya Takakichi, censor's seal Tanaka, circa 1843, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga; 36.2cm x 25.6cm (14¼in x 10 1/16in); the last a chuban tate-e of Kiyomizu Komachi from the series Keshiki nana Komachi (Views of the Seven Komachi), publisher unknown, circa 1810, signed Choki ga, 25cm x 18.5cm (9 13/16in x 7¼in).
