PROBABLY DESIGNED BY KISHI CHIKUDO (1826-1897) Two Silk-Embroidered Wall-Hangings Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century Each worked in silk and cotton threads, one depicting two tigers charging down a hill in an autumn forest with red and yellow leaves, signed Chikudo with a seal, 115cm x 68.5cm (45¼in x 27in); the second depicting two tigers, one attempting to intimidate two geese in a pond, signed Chikudo with a seal, 112.5cm x 68.5cm (44 5/16in x 27in).
