Maxi Jazz: A Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar, 1957, serial no. 7-21317 to backplate, two tone sunburst finish, alder body, original parts, maple neck, white scratchplate, fretboard with black dot markers, headstock with six-a-side tuners, three-way selector, three pickups, one volume and two tone controls, in plush-lined vintage hardshell rectangular case, with accompanying paperwork and letter of provenance from the previous owner, guitar 38 1/2in (98cm) long Footnotes: Provenance: Willard 'Will' Snide owned this guitar from 1957-1997. His bands included The Melody Boys (1957-1958) and The Rockers (1958-1962), and later (1964-1970). Maxi Jazz named this guitar 'Shirley' or 'New York City Shirley'. He can be seen playing 'Shirley' at home in London on August 23rd, 2020.
