LAM, WIFREDO, illustrator. REY, JEAN-DOMINIQUE. 1926-2016. L'herbe sous les pavés. Paris: Chez l'auteur, 1982. 4to (330 x 248 mm). 6 etchings in colors by Wifredo Lam. Publisher's printed wrappers, cloth chemise and slipcase. A BRIGHT COPY OF LAM'S FINAL PRINTED WORK, lettered 'H' from the edition of 13 copies (these etchings unsigned), from the total edition of 135, signed by Lam and Rey at the colophon. Although the etchings were supposed to be signed, the final states were not completed until after his death in September 1982. The colophon was signed when the text was printed in July of that year. Lot to be sold without reserve.
