Sniffin' Glue Magazine A Group of Punk Fanzines, 1976-1977 Comprising of issue numbers 1-12, (no.2 missing), each 30 x 21 1/2cm (11 1/2 x 8 1/2in), (11) Footnotes: 'Sniffin' Glue and Other Rock 'N' Roll Habits', widely known as 'Sniffin' Glue', was a monthly punk zine started in July 1976 by Mark Perry. The twelfth and last edition was released in August 1977. The name was inspired by the Ramones song 'Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue' from their 1976 self-titled debut album. Viewed as the most influential punk fanzine of its time, it was originally conceived after Perry had read an article which criticised his favourite band the Ramones. The 'zine was therefore started as an attempt to redress the balance in music journalism. Provenance From the Estate of the late Hilary Gerrard (1933-2023), formerly Business Manager to Ringo Starr from the 1970s onwards.
