Ackermann--Poetical Magazine, 4 vol., FIRST EDITION, 4 stipple-engraved vignette titles, the last by Bartolozzi after Cipriani, 52 aquatint plates after Rowlandson and others (all but 2 hand-coloured), woodcut vignette, without the 'To Readers' leaves and advertisement leaf in volume 1 as usual, some foxing and soiling, plates offset, some cropped with loss to imprints, modern red crushed half morocco, gilt lettered spine [Abbey Life 214; Tooley 421], [1809-1811]--Doctor Syntax in Paris or A Tour in Search of the Grotesque, hand-coloured aquatint title vignette and 18 plates by Charles Williams after Rowlandson, some offsetting and occasional foxing, full red calf gilt by Bayntun, rebacked preserving original gilt panelled spine (worn), inner gilt dentelles, g.e.
