WESTALL (WILLIAM) AND SAMUEL OWEN Picturesque Tour of the River Thames, FIRST EDITION, hand-coloured engraved vignette on title, 24 hand-coloured aquatint plates, one folding engraved map, hand-coloured aquatint vignette on p.169, text watermarked 1828, plates dated 1826, occasional off-setting, full red straight-grain morocco gilt, sides with diamond-shaped design with borders incorporating 4 floral tools, gilt panelled spine with raised bands, inner gilt dentelles, t.e.g., others untrimmed [Abbey Scenery 435; Tooley 503; Prideaux, pp. 268-269], large 4to (350 x 285mm.), R. Ackermann, 1828 Footnotes: HANDSOMELY BOUND COPY OF ONE OF THE FINEST OF THE THAMES VIEWS BOOKS. The tour is divided into three sections: the first from the river's source to Oxford; the second from Oxford to London; and the third from London to where it joins the English Channel.
