KEATS (JOHN) Lamia, Isabella, The Eve of St. Agnes, and other Poems, FIRST EDITION, complete with half-title, advertisement leaf, all fly-titles and 8-page publisher's catalogue at end, occasional light spotting and soiling, untrimmed in crushed blue morocco gilt by Riviere, sides with double gilt rule border, gilt panelled spine with raised bands, joints and one spine band slightly rubbed, preserved in blue cloth solander box with gilt leather labels [Ashley 3:15; Grolier/English 167; Hayward 233], 12mo (179 x 100mm.), Taylor and Hessey, 1820 Footnotes: FIRST EDITION OF KEATS'S LAST AND FINEST VOLUME OF POEMS. Published when the poet was seriously ill and about to leave for Italy in June 1820, it includes some of his best-known verses, such as 'Ode to a Nightingale', 'Ode on a Grecian Urn' and 'To Autumn'. It is 'now recognised as among the most important works of English poetry ever published' (ODNB).
