A pair of Meissen porcelain figures from the Five Senses after the models by by J.J. Kändler and J.F. Eberlein probably late 19th century, the bases with cancellation marks the figures modelled as classical nymphs with attendant putti picked out in gilt and enamelled in pastel colours with lilac drapery and floral bodices, one emblematic of Smell holding a flower and a censor or potpourri, the other emblematic of Touch with a parrot and a dog biting her shoulder and toe, each raised on scroll moulded bases with the body part associated with each sense to the front, the bases with scratched through underglaze blue crossed sword marks and incised model numbers 1051 and 1136, and impressed numbers 46 and 35 respectively, 27cm high, 15cm wide, 12cm deep, and 27.5cm high, 14cm wide, 12cm deep (2) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
