[ANSON (GEORGE)] THOMAS (PASCOE) A True and Impartial Journal of a Voyage to the South-Seas, and Round the Globe, in His Majesty's Ship the Centurion, FIRST EDITION, 10-page list of subscribers, some toning and light spotting, contemporary calf, rebacked in calf with red morocco gilt lettering label [Hill 1693; Sabin 95437], 8vo, S. Birt, J. Newbery, and J. Collyer, 1745 Footnotes: Pascoe Thomas, styled 'Teacher of Mathematicks on board the Centurion' on the title, kept a full daily journal of the incidents of the four-year navigation, His narrative, which includes an account of the treasure captured from the Nuestra Signora del Buono Carmelia, appeared three years prior to the official account. Provenance: James Humphreys Collection, small withdrawal stamp on the recto of title-page.
