A pair of gilded satin glass vases, late 19th century Of double-gourd form, in cream glass encased in shaded brown, gilded with sprays of flowering chrysanthemum and and winged insects, a single butterfly in flight to the reverses, 21.5cm high (2) Footnotes: Traditionally ascribed to Thomas Webb and Sons and the gilder Jules Barbe, identical glass is known to have been made at the Harrachov Glassworks in Bohemia.
