Victorian rhino horn handled walking stick, the silver collar assayed Chester 1893, the rhino handle at 10cm long raised above a silver collar and malacca cane, 86cm high, The walking stick was handed down the vendors family, at one point being used by Mr Godfree, of the Royal Horse Artillery, in 1915 Godfree was on look out duty when his colleges were pinned down by enemy fire, Godfree left his post and attacked the enemy loosing a leg in as a result, he was awarded the Russian Medal of St George for "conspicuous gallantry" he then returned home to Mendlesham in Suffolk to run the Fleece public house This lot can only be exported to EU countries
