Two Large Indian Miniature Paintings. India. 18th to 19th Century.Both expertly painted, the first with gilt highlights depicting various noblemen gathering around a ruler. The second, Bijapur school, with gilt highlights depicting the Indian princess Chand Bíbí riding a horse with a hawk resting on her extended hand, the back with Persian script; For an almost identical painting see the British Museum collection number 1920.0917,0.50 Provenance: From a British privare collection since 1960’s. Condition: Very good, with vibrant colours. 25.5x16.5cm and 25x18cm Very good, with vibrant colours.
