Lot No: 5 - Ref No: 027 The River Goddess By Nicky Beaumont Summer Holiday Home: The Peter Tavy Inn "My otter, in the form of the River Goddess, is at the top of the hierarchy of a river system and I wanted to create her as a regal and matriarchal figure. She is quite totemic with a cloak of river water flowing all around her and her young cub, in black, white, gold and silver. I have recently done a black and white design of an otter in lino print and wanted to incorporate some of my mark making ideas. I have worked on several different lino prints using the same elements of fish, waves, and the swirling motion of currents in water. To make things more interesting I have also incorporated other riverine creatures to be discovered when walking around the figure." This Otter is a 'Golden Otter' - one that has been specially selected by a panel of expert judges as being particularly stunning. Of the 81 Moor Otters there are only 25 Golden Otters. These Golden Otters will take their online bids to the live auction on Saturday, 2nd October 2021 at Bearnes, Hampton & Littlewood, Okehampton St, Exeter. You can continue to bid on these otters at the live auction in person or online.
