A silver pair cased pocket watch, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, Arabic outer numerals and brass hands, the chain fusee movement having Egyptian pillars, a verge escapement with a plain three arm brass balance, a pierced and engraved backcock, a silvered regulation dial and signed 'Louis Dunant', the plain inner case stamped with the maker's initials 'RP' and hallmarked for London 1745, with a further plain outer case, diameter 50mm. * Louis Dunant is recorded as working in Lyon, France, in the early 1700s.
