INDIAN COINS, Ancient Coinage, Magadha Janapada, Silver Vimshatika, 5.36g, earliest series with four major symbols: six-armed symbol, sun, tree and triangle with three pellets (similar to Rajgor series 10, 45-46). Very fine, unpublished and extremely rare. This earliest series is popularly known as series 0 because it precedes Hardekar’s Gupta series I. An extraordinary rarity probably struck during the reign of Ajatashatru.
