Heuer, or Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG, was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St. Imier, Switzerland. Heuer watches quickly received a good reputation for there high level of accuracy and great craftsmanship. This reputation for precision lead to their venture into the motorsports racing world, where they acted as official timekeeper for various Formula 1 teams. The company was eventually purchased by the TAG group, forming TAG Heuer.
