During the Second World War, there was scarcity of resources and Dupont went to the production of lighters. After the war, it started producing leather bags again. Since the 1930s, S.T. Dupont’s products were used by aristocrats and statesmen. In 1947, the later Queen Elizabeth provided her wedding with Dupont products.
