Exceptionally well crafted four-piece tea/coffee service, of baluster form with flared neck hinged dome lid, "C" scroll handles with intertwined vines with grapes clusters and flowers, swan spouts fashioned as griffins above Classical masks, voluptuous floral-folaite, rocaille and acanthus leaf designs, including: teapot, 6-1/4" x 11-3/8" x 7", coffee pot, 9-1/4" x 10-1/4" x 6", both marked with king's head right (King George IV), lion passant, leopard head, date letters for 1822 and 1823, and hallmark "S.H" (possibly for Soloman Hougham, London) on the bottom and side. Slightly different design creamer with gold wash inside, 3-3/4" x 6-3/4" x 4-3/4" and sugar bowl with gold wash inside, 4" x 8-3/8" x 6"; both marked with king's head right (King George IV), lion passant, leopard head, date letter for 1825, and hallmark for Robert Garrard II, London, also "Garrads Canton Street London" on the bottom.
