9 ½" thick x 15" wide x 22 ½" tall This piece bears the blue EW Turn Wien Made in Austria mark, used between 1897 and 1906. The story of Wahliss has many blanks, but by 30 years of age, with experience gained as a porcelain salesman, he quickly established himself a a premium porcelain manufacturer. His work was highly detailed and lifelike. Wahliss became so successful, he purchased the Stellmacher factory, markers of "Amphora" art pottery.
